A fandom has over 50 new works, but the majority of those have been posted by the same person.
The fandom you would like to nominate is part of a larger umbrella fandom, but your fandom can be taken as distinct, or almost distinct, and has less than 50 new works.
The fandom you would like to nominate is closely related to another fandom with more than 50 new works.

Wheel of Time - Robert Jordan
Date: 2025-04-20 08:39 pm (UTC)The original novels of Wheel of Time are significantly different from the TV show adaptation. These include but not limited to several characters being present that aren't there in the TV show (Gaul, Jaret Byar, Demandred, Amys, etc.), main characters having different backstories (Mat having a loving family in the original novels but a heavily abusive one in the show, Egwene being Ta'veren in the show but not in the books), TV show original characters (Moiraine is given a sister), and entire plot arcs being rewritten or entirely removed (Ebou Dar & Tanchico). The two series are thus quite different from each other.

Date: 2025-04-21 01:46 am (UTC)This series is a small subset of the overall Nine Worlds Series, but it is almost entirely self-contained on its own world with only 1 ongoing character shared with the other sub-series, Lays of the Hearthfire. Unfortunately, Greenwing & Dart, Lays of the Hearthfire, and Nine Worlds are all synned together, despite Greenwing & Dart being a totally distinct story from Lays of the Hearthfire. All of their fandom tags go to Nine Worlds:

Since the beginning of 2025, the overall Nine Worlds Series has 60 new completed works under 1000 words in English. Filtering out the main characters (Cliopher M'Dang & Artorin Damara | Fitzroy Angursell and any relationships involving main characters because a few writers only tag ships and not characters) of Lays of the Hearthfire who do not appear at all in Greenwing & Dart, the only remaining works are 10, which still include a few characters from Lays of the Hearthfire.

If you would like any other evidence, I am happy to pull links from the wiki showing which books comprise these sub-series and which books Cliopher M'Dang and Artorin Damara appear in. It is easier to eliminate works with their appearance than include works with others' appearances as there are a wider range of G&D characters in this year's works.

Date: 2025-04-21 08:13 am (UTC)However the batman fandom struggles from a case of crossover bloat, that AO3 doesn't consider to be "true crossovers" because they have a parent tag (either Batman - AMT or Teen Titans AMT) in common. I partially agree with AO3 on this front, because the source material (comics) shouldn't be counted as crossovers.
However, I do think the Teen Titans (Animated Show) should be counted as crossover and should not be included.
Teen Titans (Animated Show) and Titans (TV 2018) are not the same show/nor reboots from on another, one is live action and the other is a cartoon, and the fandoms are separate (and in exchanges you cannot fulfill one for the other), and the Titans show never refers to themselves as the "teen titans".
The AO3 Teen Titans AMT tag is also only under the parent tag "Cartoons & Comics & Graphic Novels" and not under TV Shows, and all other teen titan media under this is in the same teen titans universe.
I can't say I know much about Teen Titans, but I do also know that in the animated shows superhero names are used, while in the live action first names are used. And plots do not overlap at all. In the 56 fics, 13 are also tagged with Teen Titans (animated show).
Therefore I am kindly requesting these 13 fics not be counted and to allow Titans (TV 2018) to be eligible :) I am of course willing to answer any additional questions ^_^

Ciaphas Cain (Novel Series)
Date: 2025-04-28 03:41 pm (UTC)Ciaphas Cain (Novel Series) can be read as a standalone, no knowledge of rest of Warhammer novels needed. It's marketed as a distinct sub-series featuring memoirs from its titular character, who doesn't show up outside of his own book series as far as I know.

Date: 2025-04-30 11:38 am (UTC)This is part of the umbrella fandom OneChicago (that is a mix of four series total), but can be treated separately from the others. There are characters (I requested) that only appear in this series and not in the crossover episodes that are part of other series.
Applying the filters, if you exclude crossover, it has below 50 works. It doesn't if you don't exclude them, as creators often tag more than one series. I hope this helpls!
